How to rank #1 in Google

So you want to get into the Internet. Not just the Internet, but rank #1 in Google, get lots of traffic and make lots of money. Fantastic! But how do you do it? Truthfully, there are a lot of ways to make it happen, but the best way, the fastest way, is very simple. To rank #1 in Google you need two things: links to your site, and IP diversity. I am going to use some tech jargon that may confuse you, and if I do, just watch my video or send me an email.

To rank well, you should think how Google, MSN, or Yahoo thinks. Their goal is to give searchers what they are looking for. To that end, if someone is searching for "tendonitis treatment", and you are selling Tendonitis-B-Gone, chances are that Google will put WebMD or a Wikipedia article before they mention your tendonitis treatment. Makes sense right? Those other websites get thousands, if not millions of visitors a day, and Google assumes that since other people like it, it must be what the searcher was looking for.

But there are ways to rank ahead of WebMD, Wikipedia or any other website, even if you're getting a fraction of the visitors. There are lots of factors that make your site more or less important than the big guys; the age of the website, the amount of other quality websites linking to you, themeing and reciprocal links. All of which we'll talk about in greater detail as we move through this process.

Copywriting and SEO go hand in hand. One brings in the people, the other sells the product. The scary thing about learning how to start and Internet business is that there are so many tangents that you can go off on that are not going to make you any money, but seem so important. Just remember: slow and steady wins the race. Take it one step at a time, and begin by getting back to the SEO basics.
