Making a Template

What is a template? Basically its a pre-made website that you simply have to change to suit your needs. Site Source 101 offers 100s of templates and we’re adding more all the time. Click here http://www.sitesource101.com/freetemplates.html to see all our completely free templates. You can download any of these, open them in Dreamweaver, and upload them to your hosting in a matter of minutes.

All you have to do is change the text, switch out the logo, and you have a personalized website. Don’t like a color? Don’t like an image? Change it out. if you click on the color or image in Dreamweaver, it will tell you the name of that image, just make your own image or swap it out so that you have what you want.

If you’re concerned that other people are going to have the same template as you, don’t worry about it, first of all I’ll bet you’ll NEVER run across someone else with the same website, and if you did, then you can simply change something to be different. Either way its a completely free website that would cost over $1,000 from any design house.

If you can’t (or won’t) edit a template on your own, use a Site Sourcer. These are people in our community that want to help and will even bid to get you as a client. They usually come with work guarantees.

Templates are more than just what we offer on Site Source 101. You can save a web page that you make as a template and the use that template over and over again to make the other pages on your site. Why would you want to do this? Well it saves a lot of time. If you don’t use a template to make your website, changing something in the future across 100s of pages will have to be done manually. If you work with a template, you make one change on the actual template, upload it, and it changes it across all the 100s of pages. Its the only way to make websites.
