I want to learn some basic scripting. I have the understanding but I only know a little. I can write some web languages (html, htm, some PHP) but the scripting part is still confussing. Like Java script and/or Pearl.

I also understand a lot of the workings of the web as well but I want to learn more and maybe can do some freelance work in the future.

Can you help?

Like:

Members scripts, forums, directories, galleries, and other applications like these.

I want to learn how they work. Basically ones that work with databases.

I know I need to start out simple but scripts like up above are the ones that I am most interested in.

I have already been doing that like you said in the video. I have broke down many different applications of scripts. All my sites in the past and present have had many different scripts use with them.

I want to learn a application that build pages like:

I don't know if it's a shopping cart, directory, or what but I can save 1000s of hours of designing time if I can have a application like this.

Do you know of any base frame that is similar? I have been looking around for a while and I can't find any one to do it that way.

This be the ultimate for me. Hopefully there is a free version out there I can break down and learn from.
